Growing little feet in positivity

The year 2020 has been difficult for everyone. With lockdown and schools closed, it's very difficult for children to understand why they can't meet their friends or why can't they go to school?  It was the same for my child also. He is very young to understand the real reasons for the closed school. For the first month, he kept asking to meet his friends and I kept giving him an excuse. Gradually, the new normal was not new anymore.

For me, it was the best time. My son and I  started online painting classes. Now when I think, that was the best decision for him. Every week he will use his imagination and using colors he will put life in those imaginations. There is a wall in the living area which has all his paintings on display. It was the best time to see his capabilities and being amazed by what all he was able to do. Just yesterday he made a placard on his own and wrote the letters.

The gone months have given me many achievements but the best was closely watching my son grow and flying high.

It's been a challenging time for everyone in the world due to the pandemic but how we react to the situation is what matters the most. Are you looking at the positive things or just the negative part?

Consistency in life today!!!

Since the beginning, it has been grilled in us that consistency is the key to everything. Some examples like :

  • If we have to lose weight we have to exercise consistently.
  • If we have to get good marks we have to study consistently
The bottom line to get a result we have to do something regularly.
Consistency is nothing but training our brains to do one thing over and over again. Do you remember in school, before the exams, we used to regularly practice the maths questions to make sure nothing is missed. But in the exam, if there was even a small change to anything we would get confused.
Some will say that's the key to success. It's just a pattern. If something in the pattern changes then we are confused and lost. The brain of a growing kid till the age of 7yr is developing and they can adapt to any change easily.
Let's ask this question: When you are always short of time with kids and office how do you find consistency?

My personal struggle with consistency started with this lockdown. Intially the phase was very enjoyable .But then I found that there was something missing. My workouts were not regular. I was sleeping and eating at odd hours . My kid had no schedule for study. Its been couple of months like that and I am still trying to find consistency in life again. Some has come back with kid going to online classes but my workouts are not consistent yet.

What are your thoughts on consistency and how are you  trying to be consistent with life in general?

The pandemic is here!!!!

Its the year 2020 and what a way to start the year with the pandemic. Tell you frankly the word pandemic was very new to me. In all my years I had never witnessed what I did in a couple of months. Countries shutting down, schools being closed, offices shifted to work from home and people are forced to be at home.  What a new world we are living in. In the initial beginning, it was very frustrating cause of being home not able to go out but as time passed I found this my silver lining and loving every moment.

I started learning pencil sketching. It started when I enrolled my son in the class and me having all-time on hand and ready to learn I decided to give it a try. Drawing was never my forte. In the drawing class in school, I just used to sit scribbling a few lines and be done with the time. But now I am trying to make a proper picture of rose flowers or some cherries. Thou it's not very clean but atlest I am trying.

How are you being creative in this time? Share your thoughts.
